Like many of you, I am a master neurodivergent masker. There have been some difficult things that I have been avoiding for some time now.

My gut knows exactly what I should be doing and where I need to go next with my business, but doing this involves having some difficult conversations and making some really tough decisions about what I no longer do. I have been Procrastinating over these things, hoping they might resolve themselves, or that my gut feeling might change! It hasn’t!

BUT that inbuilt people pleasing, wanting to keep everyone happy, wanting to support everyone and not let anyone down is often my downfall! The trouble is this flaw, and it is a flaw, serves others, but it doesn’t serve me. It’s creating low level anxiety, and filling space and time that I need to be filling differently and more strategically. I’m spreading myself too thinly and the only person it’s hurting is me. No one would know this is how I feel or the battles that are happening internally.

Because I am a swan and I never stop paddling and I never forget to smile! That smile holds everything in, and keeps everyone out from knowing the real me! Today I am going to have to practise some of what I preach and talk about in my book, ‘Don’t Forget to smile!’

Endings can be hard, but are necessary.
Things change, and we have to adapt to that.
It’s not giving up or failing at something, it’s taking the control by making a conscious decision based on what right for you.

It’s time for a shake up. To be kinder to myself, listening to my inner voice, so that my passion and personal journey can make a bigger and louder impact. That’s how I will support more people. I have got this…

I CAN DO difficult things ( that little affirmation above my desk has a lot to answer for!!!! )
