Dyslexia Assessments

A formal assessment to help you understand your child’s strengths, challenges and support needs.

If you’re looking for clear answers, a dyslexia assessment can help you understand your child’s unique learning profile, including their strengths, challenges and the type of support they may need.

I’m qualified to assess children for dyslexia, and my assessments are designed to give parents a clearer picture of what may be going on beneath the surface. This can be especially helpful if your child is struggling with reading, writing, spelling, processing, memory, confidence, or keeping up in school.

After the assessment, you’ll receive professional insight and recommendations that can help you understand your child better and support conversations with school about the right next steps.

One-Off Strategy Calls

A focused call where we can talk through your child’s situation and work out your next best step.

Sometimes you don’t need a full assessment straight away. You just need someone experienced to help you make sense of what’s going on and work out what to do next.

In a one-off strategy call, I can talk through your child’s situation with you, including what you’re noticing at home, what school have said, any concerns around confidence or learning, and whether screening, assessment or extra support may be helpful.

As a qualified dyslexia assessor, SENCO and parent of dyslexic children myself, I can help you look at the bigger picture and leave the call with clearer next steps, rather than feeling stuck in the “I don’t know what I don’t know” stage.

Not sure where to start?

That’s okay. You don’t need to know exactly what your child needs yet.

If you’re at the beginning, start with the free dyslexia checklist. It can help you notice common signs, organise your thoughts and decide whether to explore screening, assessment or support.

If you think your child may be experiencing dyslexia, this free checklist is a great place to start.

It won’t give you a diagnosis, but it can help you organise your thoughts, spot common signs, and decide what to do next. That might mean speaking to your child’s teacher about dyslexia screening, exploring support in school, or considering a more in-depth independent dyslexia assessment for your child.

Pop your details below and I’ll send the checklist straight to your inbox.
